Qualified renter, 25 years of age or older possessing a valid and identifiable driver's license.
A rental contract. A liability waiver and an assumption or risk/damage waiver will be require at the time of “pick up” to be signed. Failure to under stand this requirement and or refusal to sign will cancel your booking and forfeit all rental and related charges.
The Rental Day is based on number of nights the trailer is used. Each night constitutes a rental day.
The vehicle that is identified as the tow vehicle must have valid and identifiable registration and be in excellent mechanical condition. No substitutions.
Trailer “general” equipment
Trailers do come with basic equipment to make your rental less hassle. Trailers are stocked with minimum general equipment. If you require specialized cooking equipment, as an example, please contact us, as we may be able to accommodate your request.
Customers are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking/traffic violations at rental termination. Non-reporting of parking/traffic violations breaches the Rental Contract and will result in an administrative charge of $250.00 in addition to the fines.
Travel trailers returned in a "dirty" condition will be subject to "Maid Service" charges. Maid service is $125.00 per hour. A minimum of 1 hour charge.
$75.00 is charged for "Preparation". To cover exterior wash, propane refill, and to cover miscellaneous supplies.
Rental Pick Up
Pick-up of RV/Trailer and camping supplies is to take place after 9:00 am the day of the booked date. Picture Identification will be required, valid driver license or passport. RV/trailer and camping equipment must be returned no later than 4:00 pm the last day of the rental agreement.
Rental bookings and pick-up times are subject to availability (time). Book early!

Familiarization tour (approximately 1.0 to 1 ½ hrs) is required to acquaint the renter with the operation of the trailer before departure. MANDATORY!
Rental equipment returned past the return time out lined for each rental agreement will be charged a minimum of $75.00 per hour late charge.
Trailer rentals will require a $2500 security/damage deposit (minimum charge). Security/damage deposit will be taken on a pre-authorization charge on a credit card only (Visa or Mastercard only). No cash deposits. A higher charge is at the discretion of RET manager.

It is expected that trailers and Rent eh Tent Canada equipment be returned in the same condition as it was given out. If any item of the rental equipment/RV is returned in a state of disarray, damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning and repair costs. Shop rate will be charged ($125.00/hour, $75.00 minimum), plus any parts and materials for cleaning or repair. All costs will be deducted from the security deposit and the remainder of the security deposit refunded. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment is the full-suggested retail value and $75.00 administration charge.* NOTE: Damage from a collision or a comprehensive aspect and or a liability aspect will automatically forfeit the $2500 deposit. Damage to trailers will include but is not limited to, animal damage/direct collision (vehicle or object) vandalism/hail/wind/fire/water or any damage what so ever of any kind while in the possession of the renter and or during the renters rental period.
**NOTE: In the event repairs or financial compensation to Rent eh Tent Canada Ltd is required, no refunds of the damage deposit will be given until all estimated costs and real cost evaluations are completed.
Maintenance and Breakdown Responsibility
***DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR ANY COMPONENT OF THE TRAILER***
The renter will be held financially responsible for redoing "customer repair attempts"
The renter will be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in normal trailer operation or failure to provide normal maintenance as it arises. In the event the vehicle is in a breakdown repair for 12 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to refund of daily rate or portion thereof. Refrigerator, microwave and appliance malfunctions are not considered breakdowns and no refunds are available for repair time to these items. "Reimbursement" is offered for "out of pocket repair expense" to a maximum of $100.00 on trailer repairs. The reimbursement is only offered to cover repair costs to a trailer as a result of general wear and tear that may occur from time to time and not as a result of damage deemed the responsibility of the renter during the rental period as outlined in the rental agreement and Rent eh Tent Canada's policies. Repair is defined as the total usability of the trailer and or safety to the renter and or the general public is at issue (Example, break light bulb burnt out). Receipts must be provided for reimbursement. The renter is responsible for reporting mechanical failures immediately to Rent eh Tent Canada.Any repair costs above $100.00 must be pre-authorized by Mike Jorgensen of Rent eh Tent Canada and repairs carried out by an RVDA certified RV repair facility or equivalent.
Trailer Brake downs
"Reimbursement" is offered for "out of pocket repair expense" to a maximum of $100.00 on trailer repairs. The reimbursement is only offered to cover repair costs to a trailer as a result of general wear and tear that may occur from time to time and not as a result of damage deemed the responsibility of the renter during the rental period as outlined in the rental agreement and Rent eh Tent Canada's policies. Repair defined as the total usability of the trailer and or safety to the renter and or the general public is at issue. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement. Any repair costs above $100.00 must be pre authorized by Mike Jorgensen of Rent eh Tent Canada and repairs carried out by a RVDA certified RV repair facility or equivalent or it will be the customers’ financial responsibility. Repair facilities can only be approved by Mike Jorgensen of Rent eh Tent Canada Ltd.
A $2500 deductible (Deposit) is in effect on any Insurance claims. The accident must be reported to the local police and a police report filed (regardless of what the police may instruct) in order for a claim to be processed. The renter is responsible for any wilful damage and/or neglect.
Rent eh Tent Canada recommends that each client have his or her own insurance for personal and public liability during the use of Rent eh Tent equipment.
We are not able to carry insurance coverage during the rental period on your behalf. As such you will require a SEF27 endorsement on your auto policy if you do not already have it. We also encourage an additional insurance policy for when the trailer is not attached to your pull vehicle. Check with your auto or home insurance company. Please be fully aware the customer is liable for any and all damage or liability during the trailer rental. Your insurance company and policy number will be required at the time of receiving your trailer.
